Honest answers

Applying shouldn't feel like this.

Four things we get asked the most. If yours isn't here, write to us.

  • Is GradBuddy free during early access?

Yes. The matching engine and program shortlists are free while we're scaling the program corpus. We'll always have a free tier.

  • Which countries are covered today?

US, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, and Australia. We're scraping new countries based on applicant demand — message us if you want a specific one prioritised.

  • How does the CV parsing work?

Upload a PDF. We extract structured fields (institutions, degrees, research, publications) using a private LLM pipeline. Nothing is shared with third parties for training.

  • How do I trust the rankings?

Every why-fit claim links to the source page on the university's site, with a last-scraped timestamp. If we can't cite it, we don't claim it.
